COMPANY BACKGROUND

Background
The idea of Autostock has been around for many years. After having learnt to know Friendly Software and ActiveTrader with its unique scripting language for a long time, the project could be launched back in 2004, beginning with only one single commercial strategy. Since then, agreements have been established with more parthers, and we have many exciting projects in pipe. In 2007 we took over the sales and management of Active Trader, which is now known as Autostock Trader.

Many people ask us why we at all sell systems/signals for automated trading, and say that we could just as well settle for trading these systems ourselves to make money.

Obviously, one thing doesn´t mean that the other can´t  be done and we do use the systems ourselves to profit from the market. However, the biggest reasons for pursueing this business is the purely technical challenge along with the mission to influence the business development. For example, today we are the oldest supplier in Scandinavia in our branch.    

We are not doing this because it´s easy, but because it´s hard!

We want to give our customers the same opportunities as larger actors on the market to benefit from systematic and algorithmic trading. There is still people who think automated trading is just for funds and banks etc. Also, we find it surprising that some still consider making money from trading the markets is a grotty thing, while lottery winners are looked at as heroes. 

We want to contribute in making systematic trading accepted, and once and for all put the myth away that the little man has no chance to succeed with computerized trading. 

An ethical alternative

2010 became a new chapter in our development where new products were included in a new mission to support poor children around the world through charity work. We want to offer an ethical alternative, unique in the way that advantages from algorithmic trading are paired with society beneficial work. The idea of using automated trading to create profits which part of goes to charity work has been around for some time now, and this year we felt that the time was right to launch the program.

Some look at stock trading as something very egoistic and disrespectful, especially as we use derivatives to profit even from a falling market. We would like to turn the reasoning aroung, and translate the benefits from systematic trading

into a better support for the charity program. The goal is that every Autostock customer automatically supports those in need.

We see a clear development of a new trend where companies take on an increasing level of society responsibility.
