Basic information about workspaces and navigation

AutoTrader is able to handle several custom workspaces that you define. You can define as many workspaces as you like and then select any of them using the context menu in the toolbar.

Account related windows

The current workspace may consist of a number of charts and windows which in themselves contains scripts which bases its information on the current account holdings etc.. To be able to manage multiple accounts Nordnet AutoTrader is equipped with a context menu to switch account so that all the scripts that are included in the workspace show the right information.

Create new workspace

To create a new workspace, you need to open the windows you want to include. For example, one could imagine that some form of a instrument list shall be used. The easiest way is opened via the Start menu:

You can have several different instruments lists open simultaneously on the screen. These can be adjusted in height to fit graphically with another. You can also adjust the column width by selecting and dragging with the cursor, or drag the columns themselves to change places.

Associated windows

A useful feature is to associate a second window to any instrument list in the workspace. In this way, eg charts, trade ticker and order dialog is updated while you double-click on any of the shares in the list. To open the associated window, right-click in the instrument list, and select Open Associated window

If you for instance select Chart a window associated with the list opens, and when you double click on a paper in the instrument list the window changes. It works exactly the same with the trade list and news. An associated Order Dialog is pre-filled with the active instrument.

Save workspace

You can save workspaces for fast access via the toolbar later. To save a workspace, click on Settings > Workspaces

Click New to name your workspace, and Close when finished. Now the workspace is available for quick selection in the toolbar. You can also save a workspace as the pre-selected one when starting program via Start > Save Workspace as startup
