First startup

1. When Nordnet AutoTrader is installed, start the program via the Start menu on your computer. You should be able to find a shortcut called Nordnet AutoTrader. Click on it to start the program up. It takes some extra time at the first startup since a number of databases are being initiated and indexed. When the program icon is visible in the activity field, click to bring up the login dialog. Here you enter your login details to Nordnet. Once entered, the program can be opened by clicking once again on the icon, and a local password dialog becomes visible. Here you enter your local password (the same as your Nordnet password from beginning).

2. If the login is successful, you will need to click on the icon once again to enter your local password, which is the same as your Nordnet password from the beginning. You can alter your local password from within AutoTrader later, or disable the prompt entirely if you prefer. The local password prevents other people from accessing the program window, eventhough AutoTrader is still working normally byt minimized. You can select the security level from Settings > Preferencies > Trading

Once you have entered the local password you should immediately be able to access your Nordnet accounts and when the stock exchange is open, you should be able to see real-time quotes in the stock list in the default workspace. To check that you are logged in, please go to Start > Order dialog and open the window below:

A successful login makes it possible to see your account holdings via Active Account.

If everything looks ok the next step is to configure price feeds by clicking on Settings > Configure price feeds and then download some data history via Start > Backfill databases.
