How to connect a script to several instruments simultaneously


When working with scripts that are intended to be connected to multiple instruments you might find the dialog below useful. Begin by opening the script editing dialog:



The dialog opens as shown below.

Click on the tab Connect to several instruments simultaneously:


You can now select a script which is then connected to all the checked instruments to the right. The settings made apply for all the connections, for example if you want a trigger script to generate an alarm for each connected instrument.

The drop menu "Slot for connection" is used to decide which slot the script should be connected to, or if the program should automatically select the next available slot. The check box "Connect on/off" is used to decide if connections should be done or disconnected.

If you want to connect to an entire stock list of instruments you can click "Select instruments from list". This way you can easily select which lists you want to use:


Check the lists you want to connect to, then click Check instruments or Uncheck instruments. The dialog is closed and you can proceed to Apply connections.
